Around the full moon of May 1, 2026

On April 26, Uranus moves from Taurus into Gemini and will remain in that air sign for the next seven years. The planet of change, inventions, freedom, revolution, and also unpredictability will color Gemini. Long-term themes may include: new ideas, new forms of learning (not blindly following information, but forming your own visions), new alliances and trade agreements, migrations, and uprisings against injustice. It asks you to stay open to new insights, to protect your freedom, and to give your nervous system enough rest. An overload of information can make you nervous and confused, so regularly tune into your heart to feel who you are and where you stand.

During the period of the Moon of Awakening, nature increasingly comes to life and into bloom (on the northern hemisphere). The sap flow is underway, leaves are unfolding, blossoms add color and produce pollen, and many young are being born. During the full moon of May 1, you can reflect on the awakening life force within yourself. What is stirring in your heart? What inspires your enthusiasm? Which cherished goals are emerging? What wants to be lived, and what do you need for that? Recognizing this is a first step in determining your actions.
The Moon in Scorpio can bring you into contact with deep feelings. Try to understand them, possibly process them (for example by expressing them creatively), knowing that putting them into words can be difficult because they run too deep. If something is complete, let it go. This creates space within yourself or your life for something new.
During the full moon, Mercury is conjunct Eris. This may make it hard to hold back if something is unjust, if a lie is told, or if falsehoods are being spread. Try to be tactful – this increases the chance that you will be heard rather than triggering only a counterreaction or misunderstanding.

Beltane was celebrated by the Celts on May Eve (the night of April 30 to May 1) or when the Moon stood at 15 degrees Taurus (which is on May 2 this year). The festival began at sunset and marked the start of the light half of the year. During this ancient fertility and fire festival, the energy of love and passion was shared with the Earth. Jumping over the fire had a purifying function and also helped to strengthen your intentions. According to old traditions, the dew of the early (May) morning was formed from the rays of the Moon or was the tears of Eos (the goddess of dawn). It was believed to bring healing power and beauty.
What you can do yourself: Collect these dewdrops in the early morning, add some spring water with a tiny bit of alcohol (for consumption), vodka, or brandy to preserve it. Hold the mixture for a moment and infuse it with love or another intention. Turn it into your own elixir or essence. It can help process grief or feel at home within yourself. You can also add other things, such as small pieces of citrine for the energy of solar strength and abundance.
