Around the new moon of April 17, 2026

 

During and around the new moon, eight planets are in Aries. Mars, the ruler of Aries, plays an important role because it passes by several planets. So this is a fiery time that may feel wild, adventurous, impulsive, and perhaps even like a threat of war. These days, it’s better to prepare something before diving into anything. Don’t rush – slow down instead. Don’t accelerate but try to decelerate so you can first see the bigger picture and any possible consequences of your actions.
On April 13, Mars is at the same degree as Neptune. On one hand, this can make you more inactive and passive, because it may be harder to truly stand up for yourself. On the other hand, you can let your deeper knowing guide all the actions you take. There are no limits, everything exists and everything is possible. Use your strength in a creative and/or healing way. New possibilities will reveal themselves.

The Sun aligns with the planetoid Eris on April 16, and the Moon with Eris on April 17. Themes around truth can intensify, for example regarding what your truth is or what is a lie. You may see through situations and feel the urge to make a statement when it comes to injustice. Can you handle it if you get a reaction? Can you handle it if you swallow your words, or would that ‘poison’ you? Find constructive ways to reveal things, to start conversations, and to bring about peace. On a larger scale, truth bombs may also be dropped: things may come to light that are not comfortable but do carry a deeper truth. Try to remain open to new insights and perspectives, as they may contain a greater truth and thus bring greater awareness.

During the new moon, the Sun and Moon are in Aries and close to Chiron. The archetypal wounded healer may activate an old wound but also offers the opportunity to move through old pain so that something is truly resolved and no longer has to hurt. It is clear that during this time old trauma’s may resurface, both personally and collectively. The challenge is not to remain stuck in fear, victimhood, or pain, but to step into your strength and experience more freedom. What do you need for that? What do you need to do? With Eris at (almost) the same degree, no velvet gloves are used, and something may suddenly become clear. Stay open to new insights and breakthroughs and allow yourself to be amazed.

Mercury and Neptune are at the same degree in Aries during the new moon. If you make time for rest and moments of silence, you may experience that you are part of different worlds and are always connected to your soul’s knowing. Prophetic dreams or visions may give you a glimpse behind the scenes or insight into an unconscious theme. Write and analyze, and you will come to understand the messages that arise from your depths.

Mars next to Saturn on April 19, brings focused energy, determination, and perseverance. In Aries, this can also manifest as: fighting (Mars) to the bitter end (Saturn), cold (Saturn) war (Mars), old rigid forces (Saturn) using violence (Mars). If you know for yourself what your ‘yes’ and ‘no’ are, and what your strength or contribution is here on Earth, you won’t have to doubt when changes occur outside of you – you will remain centered and grounded.

Around the full moon of April 2, 2026

The full moon in Libra makes you sensitive to atmosphere. You may feel the urge to bring harmony where you experience imbalance. That’s wonderful if you do, but sometimes it’s better to seek peace, either with people you consciously choose or alone in nature. The Sun shines light on the Moon from Aries, bringing fire and clarity about what you want. In the coming days, try to align your head (what you want) and your heart (what you feel), so you can feel more balanced. This helps prevent you from overlooking your own needs while making things pleasant for everyone else. The Aries light can clarify what you want and what new balance is needed in your life. What step will you take for yourself in the coming days? Under the Egg Moon, don’t forget to be gentle with yourself, to protect your new intentions, and not to put yourself under pressure.

Jupiter square the Moon can make you overconfident, leading you to take on bigger goals than you can handle. On the other hand, it can also amplify negative moods, making you more likely to think, ‘I can’t do this’. So even when you’re following a strong drive, balance remains important. Be realistic, but don’t set your wishes or dreams aside.
Vesta (inner fire) and the Moon (emotions) are in a tense alignment, which can interfere with your feelings and your ability to live from your center. Before making a decision, it may require extra attention to realign with yourself and tune into your heart center. Feel your inner fire without reacting to every emotion you pick up from the outside world – only then can you make a grounded choice. Vesta and Jupiter, on the other hand, work well together, so follow your passion, look beyond the visible horizon, and sense where your passion truly lies without being led by the outside world (because you know!).

Alderamin is aligned with the Sun. The energy of this star helps you bring masculine energy into balance or harmony with the feminine and with the Earth. Use that focused, concentrated masculine energy to pursue a greater good. Qualities associated with Alderamin include gentle strength, focus without aggression, and a peaceful power that forms a foundation in your life. Know that the greatest benefits and successes arise from quiet determination rather than dramatic or aggressive actions. When you embody dignity and strength, you radiate that into your surroundings (which is quite important in these turbulent times). Moreover, if you act from a place of dignity, you are likely to succeed in what you pursue. Feel from within what your value is (here and now, at this point in your life), how you can express your dignity, and which values you stand for, without placing that burden on others and without expectations, purely from within yourself.

On March 19 there is a new moon. The Sun and the Moon on the same degree in Pisces make the atmosphere sensitive and dreamy. Time feels elusive on this day – before you know it, you may have wandered for an indefinite period in your inner world of feelings, in daydreams, or you may experience something in dimensions beyond ordinary time. It is a day for pausing, resting, and turning inward, so that you can feel what wants to be lived through you. Make a dream board or a soul collage; find a way to give form to your creative power and your impulse for growth, and carry that energy with you into the spring. Then, over the coming months, you can return to it from time to time and remind yourself of the seeds that want to sprout. Uranus interacts with the Sun and the Moon and helps by allowing new impulses and insights to arise, bringing old knowledge back to the surface and nourishing visionary images.

The day after, on March 20, the Sun moves from Pisces into Aries, marking the start of spring. The Spring Equinox represents new life and the beginning of a new phase of growth on the way toward the light. Day and night are equal in length. Feel what in your life wants to come into balance: what may become less present, and what would you like to give more space and right to exist?
In the evening, Mercury begins moving direct again, which can help you not only feel where your energy wants to flow, but also become aware of and put into words your intentions.

On March 22, the Sun is on the same degree as Neptune. Because of this, dreams may become more vivid, both during the day and at night. Write them down before they slip away like sand through your fingers! You may experience more clearly what you want to realize in this phase of your life, not only from your personal identity, but also from a greater knowing. With your feet on the earth and your head in the stars, knowing that you are a multidimensional being (meaning that one aspect of your soul leads this life, while other aspects of your soul are present elsewhere, living lives in many different ways and realities), but also knowing that you have come here to bring something into balance. Where do you experience imbalance in your life? What higher purpose or deeper knowing do you sense about it? What do you want to realize or live differently from now on?

On March 25, the Sun is on the same degree as Saturn. This is a good day to evaluate old patterns and structures. Which ones have become rigid and are blocking your flow of energy, and which ones would you actually like to strengthen? What stands in your way – both from within and from outside? The aim is to gain clarity about how you want to unfold: which layers will you unwrap so that you can experience more spontaneity and freedom? From there, actual choices can follow and you can begin to take concrete steps.

Full moon and lunar eclipse March 3rd, 2026

The full moon in Virgo brings you into contact with the primal principle that you can create from within yourself and do not always need something or someone outside of you. The purer you live (food, water, thoughts, actions, etc.), the more clearly you experience what you are here to do and in what way – your way! It does not mean giving yourself away for goals that are set outside of you or being of service to a system that wants to keep you in its grip. It is about discovering what kind of nourishment you need in order to live from your unique strength and how you, in turn, can nourish others. Examine what strengthens you and what weakens you. Feel what you need, or what is needed in the world when it comes to feminine principles such as compassion, intuition, empathy, care, introspection, and nurturing.
The sun shines its light on the moon from Pisces, increasing sensitivity and making dreams vivid. Mercury, Venus, Mars, and the North Node are also in Pisces. In the days around the full moon, you may therefore be especially able to sense what is slumbering within you and wants to be lived. Just as a seed in the dark earth contains everything it needs to come into bloom, so do you. We humans can make choices, stray from our life missions, experiment… there are short and long paths to blossoming, to standing in your unique power. Take the time to truly feel, experience, and become conscious of what your path is and what you are capable of.
Mercury is retrograde from February 26 to March 20, so you may find it harder to form clear thoughts about the what and how, yet you may intuitively know and feel which (higher) goals want to be lived through you.

There is a total lunar eclipse on March 3. During a lunar eclipse, the Moon moves through the Earth’s shadow and no direct sunlight reaches its surface. Symbolically, this relates to emotions and feelings that have (temporarily) been banished to your shadow and will be unveiled and become palpable in the coming period. This can be confronting, but it also helps you understand yourself better, as it exposes desires and wishes. The moon has no light of its own; it reflects the light of the sun. In the same way, you may be indirectly triggered in your emotions. Which catalyst, which confrontation, or which external event causes light to be shed on hidden feelings?
Try to understand yourself, be gentle with yourself, and bring perspective into your emotional life. After that, you can consciously (instead of unconsciously) decide what you want to face and engage with.

The North Node (which relates to life purpose and life mission) is almost always involved in an eclipse. The North Node opposite the Moon can also mirror what you do or do not wish to pursue. The world is chaotic, there are threats, and you are constantly being distracted. Notice or experience what does and does not resonate with you and then set your course toward the goals you truly want to achieve. Make a plan, create structure, and in your own way help make the world a little more beautiful, better, and safer.
The moon and the sun are supported by Jupiter, allowing you to be optimistic, seek a greater truth, and face challenges with courage. Just as a sprout bravely grows upward through the dark soil, breaks through the earth’s surface, and then grows into the light according to its blueprint, you too can use that natural force at this time. You are a multidimensional being, connected to many worlds, and you can give form to your unique knowing and being. What do you want and what are you able to be, contribute, and live?

Astrologically around the new moon and solar eclipse of February 17, 2026

 

Before, during, and shortly after the solar eclipse (from February 14 to 22), Saturn and Neptune stand together at 0° Aries – a special conjunction that occurs at this degree only once every four to five thousand years. 0° Aries represents a completely new beginning following the end of a major cycle, the birth of the new. At first, this will happen in small steps, but the first shoots are already emerging from the dark earth and in the coming months will make clear what is going to grow, and where.
Aries awakens instinct, willpower, and the courage to embrace life. Saturn represents old structures, boundaries, matter, norms, laws, and foundations, while Neptune relates to inspiration, mysticism, spirituality and redemption, unity, intangibility, limitlessness, and receptivity. On February 20 and 21, these two stand exactly together.
An image to characterize this conjunction: during the previous conjunction of these two planets, there was the fall (Neptune) of the Berlin Wall or the Iron Curtain (Saturn). Neptune is also like the sea and water – which is abundantly flooding these days! A wave of renewal cannot be stopped, but it does mean that the old must first die – what is so rigid that it no longer works must be released. The new forms will become increasingly clear throughout the year.
Do you dare to let go? Or are you, as it were, trying to stop the movement of the sea in order to save a single wave?
This excerpt comes from ‘A wizard of Earthsea’’ and I find it beautifully fitting for this time:

Everything you see under the sun and stars owes its very existence to the Balance: the wind and seas, the powers of earth and light, all these do is well and rightly done within the Equilibrium. But now, men hold the power to control the world. Men must learn to keep the Balance and do what leaf and whale and wind do naturally. Everything that exists has its true name. The power of magic is nothing more than the power to command based on the knowledge of a thing’s true name. But use that power in ignorance, and the Balance of the world is easily damaged. Spells should be made only of necessity.

Because this is also active during the solar eclipse of February 17, it is a theme that will resonate in your awareness of who you are on the earthly plane. At first, you may experience the veil (eclipse, Neptune), but slowly you gain clearer insight into yourself and which new forms your soul longs for. That may be different from what you have learned or conceived with your mind, but if you listen to your heart, it becomes increasingly clear which important new phase you are entering.

What balance can or will you restore?
What is the gift you have come to bring?
Where do you stand strong, and what are the powerful words you give life to?
What is your true name?

The Sun and Moon in Aquarius bring a wave of renewing energy, insights, ideas, a drive for independence, and a longing for freedom. Adapting is only possible if something aligns with your soul! Tuning in to yourself is therefore so important (instead of constant distraction from the outside world). Discover what comes into the shadow, and what into your light. Bring balance into your life instead of struggle! Because of the square with Uranus, be careful not to act out of restlessness or too drastically. Stay centered, feel what wants to be born from within you, cherish it and give it light and love. In this way, you simultaneously contribute to the birth of new forms and events in the outer world.

About the full Moon and Neptune, February 1 2026

 

The full moon in Leo makes it easy to express your emotions spontaneously and without restraint. For others this may quickly feel like too much, but self-expression in many forms (speaking, painting, writing, etc.) can help bring what you’re feeling into the light. Leo helps you find the courage to live from your heart and (more) from autonomy. Feeling what your heart longs for, and then stepping into the world with confidence.
The Sun shines its light on the Moon from Aquarius, and Mercury and Venus (next to each other), as well as Mars and Pluto, are also in Aquarius. This creates an electric energy and brings renewal into your life like a lightning bolt. What your heart is drawn to may therefore be something entirely new, yet it resonates with who you are here and now.

The Moon and Sun do not form any other major aspects. A significant event, however, is that from January 26 Neptune moved from Pisces into Aries, where it will remain until 2038. Neptune is a generational planet; it takes an entire generation to move through one sign. Such a change of sign also says something about the collective. Neptune spent 14 years in Pisces, which was beneficial for personal spiritual development, but not for structured matters like society: boundaries blurred, it brought a vague or uncertain time of existence, with little clarity about what was really going on, which could lead to daydreaming, escaping, or ‘not really being there.’
Now that Neptune is moving into Aries, this doesn’t change everything overnight, but you begin to feel again what you want to stand for. It’s as if your inner fire is reignited and your initiative or sense of purpose increases. What dreams did you have, and which ones do you want to realize? What do you want to live for? This brings more clarity from within: which boundaries do you experience, and which will you express? The image of an ‘enemy’ will completely change in the coming years, and with it the causes or passions you will commit to from your own free will. Fighting for a greater good, a higher purpose, for ‘heaven on earth’, are parts of this.

During the full moon you can feel extra clearly what may pass on, or has survived, and be carried into the next phase. Your heart shows what it is on fire for, and what it is not. So make time to listen.

Saturn will also move to 0° Aries on February 14 (marking the energy of the upcoming solar eclipse). Neptune and Saturn will be exactly on the same degree on February 21. Saturn joining Neptune can help break a habit. Is there something you’re addicted to, that sabotages you or holds you back in your development? This is a perfect time to break free from something in which you lose yourself. Pay attention to where you experience a spark, something greater than your ego, or where you (re)recognize a deep truth. The shift is here, and you are partly at the wheel, responsible for your choices and able to help shape your future.

Astrologically around the new moon of January 18, 2026

Op het noordelijk halfrond zijn januari en februari de koudste maanden van het jaar. Sneeuw en vorst hebben zich al laten voelen en zien. Hoewel de temperatuur al wat stijgt, blijft het ijzig aanvoelen. Net als in de wereld! Waar het vuur stijgt, wordt het de kop ingedrukt, en waar geld gemaakt kan worden, worden mensen in de kou gezet… Pluto heeft in 2022, 2023 en herfst 2024 rond de laatste graden van Steenbok gestaan, ook wel de dictatorstand genoemd. Pluto heeft machten zichtbaar gemaakt, laten zien en voelen waar grote instituten (van scholen en banken tot regimes, enz.) zijn uitgespeeld. Maar het oude houdt zo lang mogelijk vast aan de opgebouwde machten. Toch zijn in de onderstroom echt wel nieuwe initiatieven, leefwijzen en mogelijkheden groeiende. Het leven kan maar zo lang tegen de ziel in worden gedreven, want vroeg of laat breekt het los, zowel op natuurlijke wijze als explosief…
De Zon en de nieuwe maan staan op 18 januari op de laatste graden van Steenbok. De Zon schijnt (18-20 januari) licht op deze thema’s en laat je weer zien waar uitersten en extremen regeren. De Maan laat je voelen wat dat met jou doet en maakt dat je je kunt inleven in anderen en ook wat jij nodig hebt in deze woelige tijden. Ga voor jezelf na waar jij je geregeerd voelt of waar jij juist macht uitoefent. Macht en onmacht kunnen namelijk zomaar in elkaar overgaan. Als je onder deze maan weet waarvoor je wilt gaan en wat belangrijk is voor jou, dan kun je bergen verzetten (met doorzettingsvermogen, discipline en verantwoordelijkheid). Ook Mercurius en Mars staan (naast elkaar, waar ze de Zon vergezellen op 20 januari) in Steenbok, wat duidt op slagvaardigheid, strategisch en doordacht handelen. Zowel mondiaal als persoonlijk kunnen langdurige oplossingen of conflicten worden opgestart. Een quick fix werkt niet. Kijk vooruit, wees praktisch, realistisch, maar niet te behouden en ga voor lange-termijndoelen, want die kunnen standhouden.

In the Northern Hemisphere, January and February are the coldest months of the year. Snow and frost have already made themselves felt and seen. Although the temperature is slowly rising, it still feels icy. Just like in the world! Where the fire rises, it is suppressed, and where money can be made, people are left out in the cold… In recent years, Pluto has been (2022, 2023 and Fall 2024) in the last degrees of Capricorn, also known as the dictator degree. Pluto has made powers visible, showing and revealing how large institutions (from schools and banks to regimes, etc.) have been played out. Yet the old order holds on to its accumulated power for as long as possible. Still, beneath the surface, new initiatives, ways of living, and possibilities are certainly growing. Life can only be driven against the soul for so long, because sooner or later it breaks free, both naturally and explosively…

The Sun and the New Moon are at the final degrees of Capricorn on January 18. From January 18–20, the Sun shines light on these themes and once again shows where extremes and excesses rule. The Moon lets you feel what this does to you and enables you to empathize with others, as well as recognize what you yourself need in these turbulent times. Reflect on where you feel ruled, or where you yourself exercise power. Power and powerlessness can easily turn into one another. If under this Moon you know what you want to stand for and what is important to you, you can move mountains (with perseverance, discipline, and responsibility). Mercury and Mars are also in Capricorn (standing next to each other and accompanying the Sun on January 20), indicating decisiveness and strategic, well-considered action. Both globally and personally, long-term solutions or conflicts may be initiated. A quick fix will not work. Look ahead, be practical and realistic, but not overly conservative, and go for long-term goals, because those can endure.

Venus will be on the same degree as Pluto on January 20. Love and transformation go hand in hand, for example, by experiencing love intensely, being willing to go through the depths even if that leads to confrontation. If the heart knows what it desires, it will be irresistible to hold yourself back (both on a large and a small scale). Because the Black Moon is positively connected to Venus and Pluto, you can – if you take the time and create calm – feel what your soul longs for. This helps you choose a higher goal, a higher love, instead of seeking yet another quick gratification.

The Sun and the Moon are positively influenced by Uranus (revolution, freedom) and also by Saturn (rules, restraints). The tension between holding on to the old and moving forward into the new seems contradictory and appears to define the boundaries of freedom. Yet individual freedom can arise within (old or new) laws. Traditional values and modern developments merge into one another.

Meanwhile, Saturn and Neptune are approaching each other again, to stand together at 0° Aries from February 14–22 (and exact on February 20 and 21). This point is the vernal point, the new beginning, but in ancient times it was also the moment to take up arms again. Moreover, in the horoscope of America, this point represents the foundation, the roots, ‘home’. With Saturn and Neptune at 0° Aries, the old and the new will merge worldwide, but very clearly in America. Think of cash being replaced by digital money, the dissolving of existing borders, old certainties falling away, structures dissolving or encounters with extraterrestrial life, and so on. We see fires and tensions in the world increasing, and this trend will continue in the coming years. All the more important, then, to create your own heaven (Neptune) on (your piece of) Earth (Saturn), not to become rigid, but to continue to wonder, knowing that you are more than your earthly body and that the wisdom of the universe resides within you.

Tarot, the development of consciousness, and the Egyptian mystery schools

Moon – Sirius -2026

 

The full moon of January 3rd is at the same degree as the star Sirius (in the constellation Canis Major). The great dog was seen as the guardian, both in life and in death. The Egyptians called him Anubis.
Sirius is the brightest star in our sky. When Sirius rose at the same time as the Sun, the Nile would soon flood and bring new fertility. Sirius is also called the House of Isis. The star has always been associated with greatness and holy (as in ‘healing’) acts. Under this full moon you can strongly experience the energy of Sirius: the sacred, healing power within yourself and in earthly, everyday actions; experiencing your own life as part of something greater; dedicating yourself to a noble cause; being aware of the importance of the moment. The energy invites you to live from your divinity. If you feel a passionate calling to follow a vocation with a social purpose, then follow it – follow your heart, accept nothing less than your own perfection, and go with your flow. If you experience struggle or resistance, then evaluate whether you are still on your right path to express your passion. Sirius is directly involved with the Earth, is like the sun behind our sun, and through its energy you can access the entire collective memory of earthly humanity and experience loving cosmic support. Tune in to the star and feel what it has to tell you. She is part of you, and you are part of her!
