Around the new moon of September 11th, 2026

 

On September 10, Venus moves into Scorpio and Mercury into Libra. Venus invites you to experience depth in love or creates a longing for it. You may clearly feel what you are passionate about and what you want to pursue in the coming weeks. In love, superficiality is ‘killing’ because it feels like a lack of involvement or genuine care. Express what your heart longs for and don’t settle for a weak compromise – in other words: don’t use love as an excuse to deny your own heart what it needs!
Mercury helps you weigh up what kind of balance is important in your interactions with others. Be honest, but fair, in the way you express yourself. If something from the past resurfaces, this is a good time to be honest and speak out about what is bothering you, so that a heaviness can be transformed into lightness (of the heart).

On this day, Uranus turns retrograde (until February 8, 2027). Uranus slowly moves back and forth between 5 and 1 degrees of Gemini. Renewal, theories, systems of thought and learning, and also eruptions (changes, deeply simmering unrest, upheavals) want to be experienced inwardly before they can successfully set things in motion in the outer world. Uranus is associated with ‘liberty, equality and fraternity’, that was the goal after the French Revolution. But it is interesting to investigate exactly who benefited or benefits from a revolution. Uranus retrograde is a good time to bring underlying information to the surface (for example, from history) in order to see where freedom is real and where it is merely an illusion. Feel what you need in order to feel free. And consider how, from your authentic self, you can contribute to creating a new world.

The New Moon is next to the Sun in Virgo. This helps you keep both feet on the ground while remaining engaged from the heart. Order and structure can help prevent you from becoming lost in service to others, and self-care is a good counterbalance to being (too) deeply involved. These days, you can find truth in the details, so occasionally zoom in on something, because a bigger picture can become visible within seemingly insignificant details.

On September 14, the Black Moon (Lilith) moves from Sagittarius into Capricorn. As a result, over the coming months you may find it easier to see through hierarchies and recognize what is really happening on a societal level. The Black Moon helps you look beyond fixed forms, seeing from the soul rather than through the physical senses. It can make you realize what place you occupy in the world and whether that is truly where you want to be.
To ‘find your true destiny’, it is important to experience what you most love doing when you are free. In that, you can also discover how you can make a meaningful contribution to the whole of which you are a part. Feel what it is réally about for you, and trust your intuitive knowing.

Full moon and lunar eclipse August 28, 2026

 

The sun is in Virgo, shining its light on the full moon in Pisces. Virgo is about seeing the details, being of service, and being pure, while Pisces is about the desire to be part of the oneness, involvement (being highly sensitive to what you feel), and/or merging with the energies you experience. So the sun helps you stay grounded and see (earthly) reality, while the Pisces moon allows you to drift away into dreams. Because Mercury and the sun are at the same degree, it may be difficult to move from knowledge to understanding. Give yourself time for this. Mercury opposite the moon can make you unsettled, for example by causing you to constantly change your mind. Be aware of your first instinct before you start analyzing and get sidetracked. Distinguish your main goals from secondary matters.

During this full moon a partial lunar eclipse will take place. Depending on where you are in the world, it is visible, but even when not visible, the energetic impact will still be there. Astrologically speaking, a lunar eclipse is associated with emotions and feelings that are temporarily difficult to grasp. The Moon in Pisces already makes you more sensitive, and the eclipse may help clarify (in the weeks that follow) which emotional reset is important for you. How can you stay closer to yourself in a world that constantly distracts and misleads you? How can you remain true to your feelings? In what way are you being driven by fear, and in what way by intuition? Fear makes your field of awareness smaller and makes you more manipulable; intuition expands your field, giving you perspective and allowing you to choose from your heart.

The Sun, Mercury, and the Moon are in tense aspects to Uranus. This can, so to speak, electrically charge the atmosphere and affect your nervous system.
The Lightning-Moon carries the theme of ‘insight and truth.’ Take a moment to consider what expectations you currently have. Are you satisfied with what you have achieved over the past few months? How does that come about? What inner fire is beginning to burn, and in what (new) way can you give it direction? Uranus can challenge you to rethink things, do something differently, and be creative when your expectations are not immediately fulfilled. Unexpected news may emerge, or an unpredictable turning point or even a revolution may occur. Regularly seek out moments of peace to reconnect with yourself, relax, and hear your inner voice. Rotate firmly around your own axis, so that you ‘don’t fly off the curve’ and can remain balanced during this turbulent time.

New moon and solar eclipse August 12, 2026

 

The sun and moon are side by side in Leo. They bring extra light and optimism, awaken a zest for life and enthusiasm, boost self-confidence, and encourage warmth and generosity. Together, they create the urge to express yourself as you truly are and/or how you genuinely feel. This may also emerge indirectly. In other words, if there is something for which you seek recognition, speak up in time. Express it before you start demanding attention in exaggerated or indirect ways. This is a time to have the courage to truly listen to your heart. Mercury and Jupiter are also in Leo, enhancing creativity, organizational ability, warmth, and generosity.

The total solar eclipse on this day will not be fully visible in the Netherlands or Belgium, though it will be visible, for example, in northern Spain and parts of northern Africa. The new moon passes in front of the sun between 7:17 p.m. and 9:03 p.m., with the eclipse reaching its maximum at 8:11 p.m. (Central European Time). A solar eclipse is about redefining your identity. Who are you? Why are you who you are? And are you satisfied with that? In what way do you want to renew your life and your way of being? You may need time to reflect on these questions, but a solar eclipse can continue to influence you for weeks, six months, or even a full year, so give yourself the time and space you need. Stay open to (new) opportunities and seize them. At the moment of the eclipse, the sun and moon make no direct aspects to other planets that would significantly color the eclipse. However, the asteroids Isis and Osiris do influence the solar eclipse – see my earlier post about this.

Venus opposite Neptune stirs romance and a longing for unity or connection with someone. At the same time, it asks you to remain realistic during these days. Are you idealizing someone or something, or losing yourself in it? The harmonious trine Venus forms with Uranus and Pluto brings new opportunities, insights, and deeper experiences. Whether in love, creativity, or finances, you can make meaningful gains, provided you are not too impulsive or insatiable. Avoid an all-or-nothing approach; seek the golden mean and remain alert.

Mercury opposite Pluto can make you obsessive, causing you to cling to an idea or thought that you cannot let go of. Alongside your Lionheart, use your mind wisely during these days. Some things are understood with the heart; others with the mind. Use your words constructively, knowing that thoughts and words carry power. Look at the bigger picture, see yourself from a higher perspective, and avoid trapping yourself within rigid frameworks or dogma.

Mars and the North Node give you the confidence to take action toward your life’s purpose. But first, you need to know which goal you truly want to pursue. An idea originates in the mind; a passion rises from the heart. Which (new) goal genuinely feels like a mission worth pursuing in your life? Go for it!

SOLAR ECLIPSE August 12 – a prophetic dream!?!

 

During the last full moon, I had a remarkable dream:

I was involved in a kind of battle for humanity, for the Earth, against ruthless forces and rulers. I knew there was a particular astrological alignment, but I couldn’t see what it was because I kept being distracted and having to defend myself. There was something about a tree trunk that represented the earthly dimension, and as I rode my bicycle, I was searching for a stick to defend myself with. Then, somewhere indoors, the door of a small cabinet suddenly swung open, and I found myself holding a particular astrology book. It opened exactly to an illustration of Isis holding Horus in her arms. That was my confirmation: “Horus represented humanity, and this was the sign that humanity would prevail!” It would still take some time (a few years) but humanity would ultimately be the victor. I was very happy!

I immediately wrote the dream down during the night. The next morning, I started researching, and this is what I found:

During the upcoming total solar eclipse, the asteroids Isis and Osiris will be on the same degree as the Sun. That means their energy is directly involved in the eclipse. (And in my natal chart, the eclipse falls exactly on asteroid Horus – honestly, you couldn’t make this up! 😊)

I have written about the myth of Isis, Osiris, and Horus and interpreted it in our (Dutch) book Isis en de 14 sleutels tot heelwording. A short version: Osiris is locked inside a chest and later cut into fourteen pieces by his jealous brother Seth. Isis searches for him, awakens him, and restores him to wholeness. During their union, she conceives Horus. Later, Horus and Seth battle for the throne of Egypt, and Horus emerges as the winner.

Symbolically, the main figures represent:

Isis: the soul (also the living life force of the entire galactic realms and dimensions)
Osiris: the true Self
Horus: the Higher Self (in my dream, Horus represented humanity!)
Seth: the part of the human being that is attached to or identifies with matter and perceives reality solely through the physical senses.
Listening to the soul reminds you of the wholeness within yourself. It awakens you to the realization that you are not merely a human being on Earth, but also a spiritual being. Here on Earth, it is about mind over matter – Horus over Seth! (I would rather say: it is about heart over matter.)

There are groups that clearly operate the other way around: for them, matter (everything from the physical world to money and possessions) comes before all else. The struggle between Horus and Seth has been unfolding for years and is becoming increasingly visible and unmistakably clear. Yes, Seth has a place in the world, because we live in a three-dimensional reality. But that is only one small part of the greater reality here.
To me, both the dream and the astrological alignments suggest that during and after this eclipse, more and more people will awaken from the dream (the program) that tells them they are powerless, at the mercy of external forces, and so on. People will begin to see what truly matters, from heart and soul. We are creator beings. All the knowledge of the universe and of all our journeys already exists within us. The power of love, intuition (the voice of the soul), and our creative force will dissolve the mists, bring higher vision, deeper knowing and help us re-member.
Life. Light. Love.

Astrologically around the full moon of July 29, 2026

 

This is a month full of possibilities, new impulses, and portals. On the 29th, the full moon in Aquarius may suddenly bring an emotion, feeling, or sentiment to the surface. It could be something that has not yet been processed and is asking for your attention, or a memory may be activated by current circumstances that deeply touches you. Aquarius brings fresh insights and has the ability to reach across time and space, touching something from this lifetime or even another. As multidimensional beings, we are connected through many threads to events, journeys, lifetimes, and inner knowing. What arises on this day may be especially meaningful. To gain greater awareness of it, moments of quiet reflection are important. When you understand something more deeply, you can make more conscious choices. The Sun in Leo, shines its light on the Moon, giving you the courage to face both yourself and your experiences in the outer world, and to take steps that align with what your heart is telling you. Feel and follow the inspiration that wells up within you. Let your life force flow and make space for your unique way of expressing yourself.

On the day of the Full Moon, both the Moon and Pluto are at 6 degrees Aquarius. Be mindful of people who try to claim you, make you feel guilty, or seek to have power over you. Maintain your freedom by refusing to respond in the same way. Sense what you truly feel and bring your inner treasures to the surface so that you can shine. This is also an ideal time to recognize your inner saboteurs: which inner voice keeps you small? Set the intention to live from your inner strength, your greatness, and your inner knowing.

With the Sun on the same degree as Jupiter, self-confidence and optimism flow naturally, but they become lasting only when you follow your heart. Don’t be tempted by doctrines, beliefs, or ideologies outside yourself. Stay centered in your own core and follow your own flow.
With Black Moon Lilith opposite Ceres, you can literally use your body to sense whether you are following your soul’s path. When faced with a choice, pause for a moment and tune in to your earthly vehicle – your body. If you feel tense, unable to move forward, or weighed down, wait before taking that step. If your heart feels joyful and light, and you somehow know that the choice is right for you, then move toward your soul’s purpose.

The Moon forms harmonious aspects with Uranus and Neptune, strengthening your intuition. Dare to truly trust You (with a capital ‘Y’). Your smaller self may still experience drama and frustration, but your greater Self can observe from a higher perspective and offer wise guidance. Sometimes laugh at yourself, see the humor in life’s situations, and then continue – perhaps along an entirely new path. You are the one who determines the course of your life. You have the power to make your own choices. Make time to genuinely feel what is right for you, while honoring and respecting all life.

Astrologically around the new moon of July 14, 2026

 

On July 13, the Sun is at the same degree as the star Castor. The theme associated with this alignment is: seeking the brighter side of a story or situation and trying to understand the tension that has arisen from polarity. This makes it a good day to reflect on whether you are experiencing any inner contradictions. How can you bring opposing parts of yourself closer together? How can you juggle (play with rather than struggle) with two different ways of living, perspectives, desires, or beliefs? Opposites can teach you something, and through that understanding you can begin to resolve them within yourself. Perhaps you have been holding onto an idea that once served you well but has since become outdated or no longer applies. Which belief is ready to be reviewed so that you can experience more ease? Try to build a bridge between seemingly incompatible viewpoints and move toward greater inner unity.

The New Moon is beside the Sun in Cancer, with Mercury just one degree away. Make time for yourself, tune in to what you truly need, and avoid leaving yourself too vulnerable. The world may feel harsher than usual, so be aware of your personal boundaries and avoid adapting too much to external expectations. Mercury is retrograde from June 29 through July 24, making your inner voice potentially clearer than rational analysis. Consider beginning the day quietly, listening to whatever naturally arises within you. Rather than immediately taking in outside information (for example, by checking your phone) first notice what you need, what insights emerge, or which feelings deserve your attention that day. Also be mindful that, in caring for or protecting others, you do not become overly nurturing or take on responsibilities that are not yours. You may need to express what you want or need yourself, because not everyone can read your mind…

From July 19 through July 23, Jupiter reaches 4 degrees Leo and forms harmonious aspects with Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. These three outer planets influence the collective and the broader collective timeline. Jupiter acts like a gateway through which optimism, opportunities for freedom, and good fortune can flow. The effort you invest during these days may have positive effects that unfold over the coming years. Set a clear intention and give it direction – this helps determine the path ahead. Your actions can strengthen your intention, while distractions may cause you to lose your way. The same principle applies on a larger scale: the developments and decisions initiated during these days may continue to shape the collective in beneficial ways over the years to come, provided they remain grounded in realism.

The Full Moon in Capricorn can bring a sobering perspective and provides the motivation to complete what still needs to be finished. This allows you to devote more energy afterward to nurturing the fruits you wish to harvest later in the year. What do you need to bring to completion? Which loose ends need tying up, which lingering issues are causing concern, and what still needs to be finalized? By focusing on what truly matters to you, and with perseverance and discipline, you can reach the summit you set for yourself. The decisions you make in the present moment influence the reality of future moments – you determine the direction.

The Sun is at the same degree as the star Alhena. This celestial influence brings a strong sense of purpose and can help you align yourself with an idea or calling that gives direction to your life. The stars are associated with higher goals, so before throwing yourself into something, tune in to yourself and feel what truly matters to your authentic self. Alhena also makes it easier for you to speak your mind. This fits with the full moon theme, as your focus is drawn to what requires action. In certain situations, and regarding certain feelings, you must take a stand and express yourself; otherwise, everything turns inward. Jupiter remains in the same sign for about a year. On June 30, the planet of luck, freedom, optimism, expansion, and lust for life will move from Cancer into Leo. Astrologically around the new moon of June 15, 2026

 

On June 15, the Sun and the Moon stand side by side in Gemini. Everything related to communication, connection, thoughts, research, trade, and exchange may call for extra attention. Be amazed, be curious, and go on an adventure! Ask your questions or offer explanations where needed. Books, workshops, and films may suddenly provide an insight and awaken an inner seed. Follow your interests, weaving external knowledge together with inner wisdom. Everyone is different; no one has experienced exactly the same things down to the second, and that is precisely what makes us all so colorful and able to contribute or help in our own unique way. Follow your flow and trust life! The Moon is invisible, but on this day it is at the closest point in its orbit to the Earth.

On June 19, the Sun is at the same degree as Jupiter. This brings optimism, good fortune, a desire to travel, new horizons where you once saw limitations, and opportunities becoming visible. Do not rush into everything at once, do not try to be everywhere immediately, and avoid overconfidence. Feel your way through it; let what is unnecessary drain away like water through a sieve until only the essence remains. What truly matters to you in the coming period? Focus on that.
Also on this day: Chiron, the archetypal wounded healer, moves from Aries into Taurus, where it will remain, more or less, for the next six years. Chiron can bring old, unresolved pain to the surface, but it also carries the potential to heal what is wounded or fragmented (for example through trauma, injury, grief, or pain). In Taurus, this may relate to your own piece of earth, your connection with the Earth, your body, and your personal safe and sacred place. Taurus is also associated with enjoying the physical world. Pay attention to what you experience around these themes from June 20 through the end of the month. When a slow-moving planet changes signs, it can immediately reveal areas that need attention – in this case, areas connected to healing.

In the Northern Hemisphere, the Summer Solstice (Midsummer) occurs on June 21, when the Sun enters star sign Cancer. This is the longest day of the year. Celebrate life, nature, and the light, and allow the sun’s rays to warm both your skin and your being. Light brings awareness; it contains information and frequencies. Reflect on what you have brought into the light recently, or perhaps what has come to light. Is it truly what you want? What could use a little more light in order to become visible? What within yourself would you like to illuminate?
Find a sunny, peaceful place and allow the questions you carry to pass before you. Not from the mind or from the need to invent answers, but from feeling – let the information arise, let an insight grow, let a knowing emerge. You are part of this solar system, and you already carry within you all the knowledge you need. So place your feet firmly on the earth, connect your head with the sun, and let the light flow through you (outdoors, or if that is not possible, visualize it). What becomes clear, lighter, or more important? You are not dependent on others. Trust yourself, tune in to yourself, and allow whatever wishes to come into the light to emerge from within you.

Astrologically around the full moon of May 31, 2026

 

From May 14 – 31, Uranus and the (Plutoid) Sedna are both at 1° Gemini. On May 26, they are both exactly on the same degree (1˚43). These two planets relate to the collective, to major (changing) timelines. Their conjunction at the very first degree of a sign indicates that something is being set into motion that will be characteristic and defining for the coming years.

Uranus is associated with change, freedom, innovation, the nervous system, technology, and revolution.
Sedna relates to (unjust) exile, survival, and collective trauma that is being remembered.
Gemini is connected to communication, language, learning, trade, (social) media, and thought patterns.
Together, they may increasingly raise questions about (hidden) truths, old and new traumatic events, AI, the media, and more, while demanding change. When you develop a different perspective, it can change your perception. Once you see something, you cannot ‘unsee’ it anymore. It has been shown that the heart picks up signals earlier than the mind does. Listening to your feelings, your intuition, your inner voice, and also your sense of justice will help you stay true to yourself and your inner knowing of what is right for you and for the world – from a place of equality! This tendency will gradually filter through and become influential in the years ahead.

During the Full Moon in Sagittarius, you may experience wonderful ideas, take spontaneous action driven by enthusiasm, and find motivation for a higher goal that you may already have been pursuing for some time. Include in your goals what you have experienced or realized over the past few weeks. Do you dare to listen to your own physical, emotional, and mental signals? Can you be in silence, without external distractions? Beneath all the noise produced by the outside world lies a deeper truth, both collective and personal. Don’t let yourself become amazed but do something wonderfully amazing instead. Change something in your life for the better. And while respecting your own boundaries, still dare to look and/or dream beyond the horizon.
