Full moon December 4 or 5, 2025
Because of the time of the full moon, it can be full on the 5th (like in the Netherlands just after midnight or Australia in the morning) or on the 4th (like in the USA, just before midnight).
The Sun shines its light on the Moon from the constellation Sagittarius or (if you include the thirteenth constellation) from Ophiuchus. The energy of Ophiuchus the serpent bearer is about healing and repairing what is broken. This is a good time to explore and recognize your own healing abilities, as well as to learn from someone who can help you heal yourself. If old familiar problems resurface, you may find a solution for them. The light of the Sun reveals things and brings awareness – but where there is light, you also see shadows. Look yourself in the eye and feel where something within you wants to be seen and acknowledged. What are you not ‘allowed’ to feel? What do you push away in yourself? What do you judge? In that, you may recognize something you (in a healthy way!) want to begin to live out. The Moon in Gemini helps you talk, explore, and put into words what is felt deep within you. That can create a new sense of balance or bring more harmony (you no longer have to hold the ball underwater) and thus spark a change you have been longing for. The pitfall of the Moon in Gemini is not going deep enough, staying on the surface. Mercury began moving forward again on November 29 and in Scorpio it helps track down inner secrets and reveal suppressed parts of yourself.
The Moon and the Sun are square the North Node – this can lead to tension and recurring conflicts around following your life purpose or mission. If suddenly your life path feels unclear and you’re missing guidance, if you just can’t make a choice because it doesn’t feel safe, or if you feel irritated by the slow pace at which your goals are developing, then simply give yourself a few days off! Off, in the sense of not constantly letting yourself be distracted by everything happening around you or everything you can check on your phone, etc.
It is precisely in emptiness, in stillness, in ‘nothingness’ that new clarity, inspiration, and creativity arise. Write down whatever comes to you: insights, meaning, what brings you joy, what energizes you. Pay attention to the signs on your path and take them with you – turn it into a kind of puzzle that you solve by December 21 (Midwinter): what calling do you feel, what becomes clear, which direction is pulling you?
This is a time of turning inward, of introspection, of gaining inner knowledge. At the same time, you awaken and develop dream-seeds that lie dormant within you. Dream, follow your feeling. Let arise, nurture, and nourish whatever (soon or in spring) wants to be born from within you.
